CBDCs are Central Bank Digital Currencies that are issued by the RBI and are fully centralized. They are also fully programmable and could mean the end of privacy and freedom as every single transaction is recorded permanently. Anyone with access can view your full financial history and use that information against you. CBDCs can also be used to restrict certain kinds of transactions, and can also be switched off for iindividuals who don’t agree with the government.
