Dr. Ashwath Narayan, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister says that it’s not mandatory for students to get vaccinated. Although, the state’s higher education department had planned to vaccinate all the eligible students in July and resume classes in August, the latest comment from the deputy chief minister confirms that vaccination is voluntary. However, offline or physical classes in the state will be open only for vaccinated students.
Currently there are four major pharmaceutical companies who manufacture a SARS-CoV-2 now called SARS-CoV-19 vaccine. These manufactures and their vaccine are Pfizer–BioNTech
