The petitioners were Rachana Gangu, mother of 18 year old, Rithaika Omtri and Venugopalan Govindan, father of 20 year old Karunya Venugopalan, who both passed away within 3 weeks of taking the Covid vaccination.
Both the girls had no pre-existing health conditions and were completely healthy prior to taking the Covid vaccine. When the vaccines were first rolled out for their age group, there was no advisory issued by UoI on the potential adverse events of the Covid vaccine and there was no Informed Consent taken prior to administering the vaccines.
The petitioners have prayed the following to the Hon’ble Court:
- Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction appointing an expert medical board, independent of the Government, to forthwith inquire into and investigate into the deaths of the daughters of Petitioners No. 1 & 2, and to share the report of the autopsy and investigation with the Petitioners in a time-bound manner;
- Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the above appointed expert medical board to prepare a protocol for early detection of and timely treatment for the AEFI due to the Covid-19 vaccine such as the ones that led to the deaths of the daughters of Petitioners No. 1 & 2; and
- Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to grant significant monetary compensation to the Petitioners No. 1 & 2, which will be donated by the Petitioners to organizations working on social issues.
The matter was listed for hearing on 29.8.22. After hearing the petitioners, Hon’ble Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Hon’ble Justice Bela M. Trivedi have issued a notice to UoI.

Government in its affidavit before Supreme Court blames public for getting vaccines despite having knowledge of its side effects of death.
Central Government suggested citizen to file compensation cases against Serum Institute, responsible guilty officers of the state governments and not to seek from the Central government.
Affidavit says that the Central Government had not brought any mandates for compulsory vaccination therefore they will not pay compensation.The mandates were by the State Governments.
